Did you know that flamingos get their pigmentation of their feathers from what the pigments in the food that they eat? They’re not the only animal like this and there is absolutely something to the way our bodies respond to the things we eat and drink. Have you ever wondered what’s inside of the snacks and fast food you eat? Don’t get me wrong, I love a good burger or a bag of chips like the next guy but I’m not ignorant to the garbage that I’m putting in my body. The same thing goes for the drinks I like both sugary and alcoholic alike. Doing something that is not good for you isn’t quite bad for you if done responsibly might not be that bad. There are limits that people have and genetics has a whole lot to do with it but even the worst things out there for you, if done in moderation, can be enjoyable and without guilt. We all know that there are people that don’t care about the damage they do to their body and have no idea what the word moderation means in real time practice. I’m no-one to judge, but I do try to talk to the people I care about when I see them on the edge of self destruct. Family seems to get the most upset when I bring up the devastating results associated with obesity but it never stops me from giving them a little bit of facts for them to make their own choices. What about you? How responsible or otherwise knowledgeable about the things you put in your body? Do you allow yourself the simplicity of ignorance and just live or know what you’re consuming and make a conscious decision to do so?
