I’ve noticed how some people treat their animals and have mixed opinions about what they feel is the right way to raise them. Some of them are spoiled to no end and turn out to be a lazy chonkers without any drive other than motivation to eat. Others are exercised daily and eat the worst food on the market because its cheep and easy. If anyone knows me, I spoil my animals with toys, treats and better food than I eat but make sure they get the exercise and discipline they need for good physical and mental health. I couldn’t imagine being a dog and my entire world be limited to in the house and backyard. Even worse if I wouldn’t be allowed on furniture or in certain rooms. Even my cat gets around the neighborhood in a backpack when I’m on my electric skateboard. If the dog was better around other dogs when she’s on a leash, I would take her out to the local dog-friendly bars. Do you travel with your animals or make them a part of your outside life and adventures? How excited does your dog get when you ask them if they want to go for a walk or a ride? Translate that excitement into an underlying need to do more and get out of a stir crazy doggy lifestyle. If you want a pet, make sure you have the time to give them what they deserve out of life as well. Besides, a dog never just relaxes better than after a few miles walking and exploring with their human.
