People are way tougher and a whole lot more resilient than you would normally think. The oddities of us that seem to break the mold, only seem to do so because we choose to break the mould. There is a break in how we are brought up that limits our idea of what limits there are in life. One thing I know is that to do something that no-one else has done, you have to push yourself past what the limit was thought to be. Breaking a world record is all in the cards but setting a personal record is a start. Every new year starts with a bunch of people setting a giant goal that they fixate on and eventually lose sight of because of how far off it always is. Setting an immediate goal is good to get you started, like just showing up to put in the work over whatever it is you’re after but its not enough to just show up. Pushing yourself to your limit and breaking through the top is as much of a mental victory as it is a physical one. Knowing you have the mental strength and capabilities to go harder and faster than you would have thought, gives you a unique insight on yourself and others. Knowing that a majority of the limits that we set ourselves are way too short of our real potential. What do you think? What’s your limit? Are you limiting yourself?
