When we go out for a little bit of social lubricant, why are there so many options? Booze is booze…right? I would say, not at all. As I’ve gotten older, the drink has become as important as the company. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love good company and value my friends but I enjoy the taste of a good drink. I sip my drink and enjoy it. The taste of a good beer, wine or whiskey is noticeable when you take the time to taste and enjoy it. I have no problem paying a little extra for the next step up or two from plastic bottle well drinks or simply drinking something else instead. Would you say your taste for the quality of your drinks has gotten more broad or more narrow? Do you care about flavor or just the effect? Maybe I’m the oddball out and it’s only about the company.
