Sometimes I make my bed and sometimes I just don’t for like a week. I’ve never really understood why you should make your bed at all, other than the amazing feeling of fresh feeling sheets. There are a bunch of the rich and famous that say they don’t make the bed because it is a fruitless task. Now the concept of saving time, energy and brain power, by cutting out a task that you would otherwise expect someone who has their life together does, is a pretty interesting concept. Now, as with all things, I feel like there are a few exceptions with this. If you’re not making your bed because you’re an absolute slob, haven’t changed your sheets in a month and have clothes and trash all over your house, then you’re probably not…not making your bed as a conscious effort. I feel like there are a lot of these things out there, where intent behind the action, matters. There are always parallels and ways to show a type of correlation but why we do things might matter more than the things we actually do. What do you think? Is the action or the intent behind it more important. How many things would be completely different under a completely different circumstance, despite being the exact same physical action? Why is or isn’t it different? Oh…make your bed and change your sheets!
