There are some great styles and fashion out there in the world but how many of them are functional for real world application? I feel like the majority of the clothes out there are geared more towards looks than anything else. Have you ever even seen the pockets on girls pants? They won’t even hold a tiny smart phone without half of it sticking out. Don’t get me wrong, they have a great fallback with a purse but if they want anything on their person, there is no way they can fit it in jeans. On that note, why can’t a man wear a murse? The practicality of a bag that can hold a gun and a few choice items seems ideal without breaking up the silhouette of what you’re wearing. The idea of looks over functionality is completely wild, when you take a few steps back and look at why you even care. Maybe there isn’t a market for women jeans with pockets that can hold anything bigger than a stick of gum or small gear bags with a shoulder strap for men. What if the only thing that maters is the aesthetic? In that case, I would say good and go against the fashion forward world and do my own thing. Wait, is that what fashion forward is in the first place? Am I an influencer? Oh yeah…nobody cares and it really doesn’t matter if they did. Do what you want and wear what you want, just don’t judge others for doing the same. If you want to look amazing at the cost of comfort, functionality and everything else, then do it. Same goes for practicality and functionality. The way we present maters but only to a certain degree, when compared to how we carry ourselves. Not to say that looks aren’t important, but they aren’t everything and that’s a good thing. What about you? Do you find yourself shopping for something practical or something fun. Do you only want to look good or be comfortable and able to do something while you do it? Has that changed with time or is this something you’ve embraced forever?
