When you’re looking at something, remember that you’re looking at it through your own lens. We all have a different perspective and life view for every situation you can think of. I know that I will never see the world from a famous basketball players vantage point. They are tall, famous, rich and under the public eye with everything they do. Yes, they have some pretty amazing things going on for them but we don’t know the stresses and fears that comes with that kind of lifestyle. People always think that money is the end all be all of happiness and success but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I’ve seen some of the poorest people in terms of material wealth live some of the richest lives you could think of. Imagine a life full of a caring family and friends where you smile and have no worries about anything going on around you. I suppose that we all see and assess the world with different metrics but in the end all that really matters is our overall takeaway with what makes us happy. I’ve learned not to judge anyone for investing time, effort or money into what they know brings them joy. Not living their life or knowing their story, I would be a fool to judge them off of mine. What brings you happiness? What gives you fulfillment in life? How do you go about trying to achieve that? How often do you support someone else’s choices with what brings them joy, without understanding why?
