Diet is one of the most important things you can concentrate on but in the end, genetics has a whole lot to do with how you’re going to look. One person can eat absolutely horrible and look like a model while someone can eat as healthy as they know how and look like they’re bulking for the winter. I’ve seen people struggle with their weight and try every trick in the book to lose or maintain where they’re at but to no avail. The question I have is, are you trying to lose weight for health reasons or aesthetics? This is an important question because I feel like people approach it differently and when your goals are based around health and a healthy lifestyle, you seem to be more successful because you’re way more invested in what you’re trying to do. With the amount of sugar, grease and all the unhealthy alternatives, it’s so easy to eat bad and so hard to eat healthy. I’ve always had the right palette for healthy foods and one really beneficial quirk that everyone should learn. Eating until I’m not hungry anymore is the stopping point for any meal. Feeling full is the absolute worst for me so portion control just comes naturally and is super easy to stick with. Do you eat for sustenance and nothing else or do you love the taste and presentation of a great meal? Does food drive you to travel and experience life or do you eat so that you have the fuel to go out, travel and experience life. How many times have you eaten yourself into sweats, uncomfort and the need for a nap? Do you base your food preferences on the lifestyle you’re looking to obtain or the flavor?
