There was nothing that could stop us when we were kids. The world might be out there and things might be stacked against us but all we saw was the next challenge and the next reward. What a blessing and a curse that was. Imagine if as an adult, we only saw and focused on what we wanted and gave no attention to anything else. The dedication and effort to happiness was all on trying to get a snack or figuring out how to climb a tree. These complicated life problems are something we learned and focus on for almost no reason. Be happy by making the goal, to be happy. What might bring you happiness is the big mystery but whether or not you should pursue that happiness, shouldn’t even be a question. What brings you happiness? Are you actively chasing that happiness? Do you see happiness as something that you should comprise?
